Throughout this period, dining establishments across the Knoxville region will showcase exclusive vegan menu selections. Patrons can venture out to savor these plant-based delights, cast their votes, share comments, and post pictures of the delectable vegan dishes they've chosen.
The Knoxville Vegan Chef Challenge is orchestrated by Vegan Outreach in partnership with 4them Animal Sanctuary.

A deceitful dentist, juggling multiple affairs, maintains a facade of being married with children. Fearing exposure, he enlists his brusque nurse to play the role of his "wife." Unexpectedly, she undergoes a transformation, and as the charade unfolds, he discovers himself falling in love with the charming "cactus flower" right under his nose. This Broadway sensation later translated into a triumphant film.
Cactus Flower debuted on Broadway at the Royale Theatre on December 8, 1965. Under the direction of Abe Burrows, the cast featured Lauren Bacall, Barry Nelson, and Brenda Vaccaro. The 1969 film adaptation, helmed by Gene Saks, starred Walter Matthau, Ingrid Bergman, and Goldie Hawn, who earned the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role.
