After 21 years the Knoxville Flea Market is moving locations. Don't miss them at their new location the historic Jacob Building at Chilhowee Park. The market will be held six times in 2024. There will be 250 quality exhibitor booths, free admission, and parking.
 
There will be a $5 and under overstock sale. Friday is a $5 day. Saturday is a $3 day. Sunday is a $1 day (this pricing is only good within the overstock sale, not the entire flea market).

Try: Homemade Beauty - Balms and Salves

Join together at Ijams Nature Center for an engaging workshop led by Kristin Webber, the creative mind behind Chicken Librarian. Discover the art of crafting your own homemade beauty lip balms and salves in this hands-on experience.
 
Lip balms, perfect for thoughtful gifts, are surprisingly simple to make. Salves, versatile for both gifting and personal use, come in handy for cuts, scraps, and dry skin. Using just three basic ingredients, you can create a variety of products.
 
Please be ready for a hands-on session where you'll be standing, working with hot oils, and beeswax. Each participant will leave with at least 2 balms and 2 salves. Gain insights into the benefits of homemade beauty products and learn where to source quality ingredients, all with no prior experience required.
 
(If you attended the Herbal Infusions workshop in January, bring your infused oils to incorporate into your creations!)

Join Ranger Clare to discover the fascinating world of winter bird feeding and be part of the Great Backyard Bird Count!
 
This event is a part of the monthly Kid's Birding Program, designed for children aged 6-12. Pre-registration is mandatory.
 
The Great Backyard Bird Count takes place every February, involving people globally counting birds over four days and sharing their data with the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. These observations contribute to understanding bird populations just before their spring migration. An easy way to participate is by attracting birds to your yard with feeders. During your session, you'll delve into attracting specific species and bird watching in the gardens near the Bluebird Barn. You'll compile a list to submit to the Great Backyard Bird Count.
 
Bundle up for the cold weather, and if you have binoculars, bring them along. Don't worry if you don't; they'll provide binoculars for participants to borrow.
 
 

Watch & Listen: Weiner Dog Race Night w/ the Knoxville Ice Bears

When: Saturday, February 17th, 7:35 pm
Where: Knoxville Civic Coliseum /500 Howard Baker Jr Dr. Knoxville
 
Head out to see the Knoxville Ice Bears take on the Macon Mayhem. This night they will also be showcasing the annual Weiner Dog Race. Register your dachshund or just come to watch these pups sprint across the ice in the hockey team's biggest event of the season.

Dogtopia is the leading destination for dog daycare, boarding, and spa services in the Bearden area of Knoxville. Join them and help them meet their goal to raise money for a second service dog for a veteran. Your pup will receive a strip of fresh turkey bacon for a donation of $5.
